General
Hotelschool The Hague was founded in 1929, making it one of the oldest independent hotel schools in the world. Since 1929, Hotelschool The Hague has been renowned for its education and innovative research and is ranked among the top Hospitality Management Schools in the world and the best Hotelschool in The Netherlands. Graduates of Hotelschool The Hague occupy leading positions in the hospitality industry all over the world. The school has two campuses, one in The Hague and one in Amsterdam with over 2,600 students, an international student intake of 40% and more than 250 employees. You will join a multidisciplinary team of professionals in a challenging but friendly environment. The school community is international, which means both the educational programme and all business communication are done in English.
Department
The Human Resources department supports and advises the Board of Directors and management (teams) on HR related subjects. Optimizing HR processes, strategic personnel planning, performance management, recruitment, HR policies, HR administration, labour relations, are one of the current HR topics. Important stakeholders are Co-Determination Council (OR), Unions, Vereniging Hogescholen. The HR department is in full development and with the arrival of a new personnel administration system (HR2Day) in summer 2022, the organization needs further development towards integrated management and a professional HR service model. This will be effected by October 2022.
The HR team consists of eleven professionals (8 freelance/temporary and 3 fixed contracts): an HR Coordinator, two HR Administrators, 5 HR Advisors, an HR Policy Advisor, two Recruiters, The HR department is an active contributor to organisational optimisation and change and contributes actively to improving employee commitment and engagement. The objective of the HR department is to help the organisation anticipate and adapt to future developments and deliver efficient and effective HR processes.
General function description
Working in a organizational structure with multiple stakeholders, the Manager Human Resources will work with the Board of Directors, the executive management team and the teams to execute on HR strategies and initiatives to achieve and maintain Hotelschool The Hague strategic objectives and plan.

Remuneration
Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 13 the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between €5193,85 and €6326,17 gross per month, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.

Additional information
Hotelschool The Hague works with a 40-hour workweek. The starting date for this position is as soon as possible depending on the notice period of the applicant. The work location for this position can be either our Campus in The Hague and/or Amsterdam. Working hybrid is also possible. An English language proficiency test and an assessment will be part of the selection procedure. Upon receiving an offer, a certificate of conduct (VOG) is required.
